Does briefly sound like the clutch then Jesse mate and or you’ve accidentally knocked the 2WD/4WD transfer gearbox case stick into neutral?
If not could be worth trying all gears including reverse too and selecting four wheel drive just to fully isolate one by one where the issue lies in the whole driveline.
If on your lonesome you could also maybe first try attaching a long plastic zippy tie to the rear tail shaft to try and hear from in cabin its slapping noise against the undercarriage would mean the issue lies in your rear differential area when in 2wd mode.
When you get a chance pop over to the Introduction section mate and say G’day to the crew, top bunch of helpful folk on here worth sticking around.

Bugger mate, doesn’t sound too good.
What were the events leading up to it?
Did it just drive home one night and then this all started happening the next morning?

It could be a stuck clutch fork, maybe. With someone pushing on the clutch pedal, check that the clutch slave cylinder is moving forward and back.
While you are under the vehicle have a look around.
What else could it be? Stuffed diff? Broken input shaft on the gearbox? Do you hear more noise when it is in gear?

Sounding like clutch issue now mate.
Safely chock the cars wheels and start the engine in neutral. Climb under the car with a long screwdriver and hold it against the gearbox bell housing with your ear on the screwdriver handle. Listen in for any nasty slipping or grinding type noises?

Clutch has gone or the clutch fork has broken at the pivot I think. So you can put it into gear with the engine running and NOT putting the clutch in?
