I was wondering someone could help with some info on what to do?
I have a GQ and in the right driver inner guard there are cracks (see pictures) has anyone repaired or replaced the inner guard and what is involved. Thanks guys I need it done to get a roady.
There are a few threads on here dealing with the same problem. I found cracks at the front end of the P/side sill panel. It only cost a couple of hundred for a panel beater to fix it.
I think it was caused by movement from worn body mounts. Try the search function and you just might find a better thread.
Hey mate, when I put a new shell on my GQ put in a bracing kit from Big O 4x4 in SA. Old cab had lots of rust but also front inner guards were cracked both under the battery and near where the front clip joins the cab so kit was no brainer while apart. Guess panel beater would be a go to to repair unless your handy with a welder.
