Y61 2001 Screaming noise
Hello Patrol people!!
This is my first post here, and as far as i know. This must be the best page world wide on patrol stuff!
I hope i post this problem of mine on the right place. If not sorry.
We have a Patrol Y61 2000 ( yes the 30ZD 3,0l Turbo )
This one -> ( Hope the link is ok ) https://scontent.fsvg1-1.fna.fbcdn.n...e5&oe=5E0414D1
Problem!
When we start the engine when cold. at first all sounds ok.
But when we push little to get some RPM. It start screaming very insane! This is at 2500-3500RPM+ when cold.
If I do not push the throttle and just click on the Pre-heater. The engine rev up to only 1200RPM. But the then its also screaming.
First some one told me turbo is about to die. But its not following the turbo boost/spinning.
It take 60sec. When it starts to get warm sounds go away.
Its sound like it turn on and off some how?
Do the EGR go on and off ?
Exhaust leak ?, I have read many talk about this.
Video here ->https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bX0a...ature=youtu.be
Thanks!
Ken
Cheers from Norway!

Yea I was thinking the same.
I have all I need to replace all gaskets and seals. I will remove it all and check it. + put on all new gaskets.
If manifold is not to bad I hope anyway that replacing it all fix it.
PS - Before the screaming did start. The hissing sound have always been there when i turn on the pre-heather. When i click it on ( engine rev and 2-3sec delay after that i can hear pressur build up and getting out under that car.
How do the pre-heather work ?
Thanks !
