    Body mounts.

My patrol has a horrible lean on the front passenger side corner. I recall somebody changing a body Mount or some body mounts on theirs, but I can't remember who it was. If it's not the body mounts what else could it be.

I've had a look at the mounts and the seem to be the same. Tried to take a picture, but doesn't really show it to well.

I changed mine on the GQ and put in 1" raised units. The originals that came out were fine despite being 20 years old - needed the lift to clear the s/c. Its a straight forward job, just need to think it thru regards the method. I used a combination of hydraulic jacks and trolley jack. What I missed was a couple of body mount brackets directly above the rear axle that tie the floor to the cross chassis tube - these went off with a 'crack when they let go - not the smartest thing but wasn't aware they were there. I went for the dia 70mm units and these sat on top of the existing ones from memories. You can get a kit off ebay as you probably already know. Mine are black plastic I think.

    Cheers gents.

Would not having a front sway bar in make it lean?

Hmm, do I need to take it out to check? I have eyeballed it, looked OK with a quick look.

Quick check. Take a measurement from the underside or edge of the guard/flare and the edge of the rim on the lower side of the tyre, compare to the other side - this will tell you the spring health. If its within 10mm I would say it is fine. I assume the tyres are at the same pressure and you don't have some crazy weight on that side/corner?

I would check the drivers side spring has not popped out also as it could be a corner to corner issue perhaps?

    Thanks PeeBee.

Did a check with the jack handle, I'm at soccer that's all I can find. Got about 40-50 mm difference. Well as least I wouldn't have to change body mounts.

That much difference I wouldn’t think it’s body mounts John. Behind the rubber flap on the inside of the front wheel arch, if you still have them, look at the distance from the metal part of the guard closest to the chassis. See if both sides are the same. If they are. The issue is elsewhere.
I did my body mounts on my GU. Not a hard job but fiddly. You need to remove both front seats to access the top bolt for the second/ or third row mounts. All other mounts from memory are accessible from the bottom.
There is two hidden mounts on a small cross member pretty much above the rear diff too, which are easily missed.

    Thanks Mark.

I'm going to jack up the front and see what the springs are like, may even take them out and refit.
