Convert to EFI

Hi guys was thinking the other day about converting my TB42 from carby to EFI.
My Question is would this be of any advantage to me or am i dreaming?
The carby needs a rebuild as the secondreys are not working.
What fuel econamy are you guys with EFI getting out of Petrol and Gas?
