I'm Jess and I'm lucky enough to be the proud owner of a 1989 GQ patrol (fondly known as The Tank) with a TD42 silvertop. My mum bought her new and passed it onto me a few years ago after she realised it could no longer tow the horse float up hills very well.
Since owning her we have added a 2" lift, 33" muddies, some bar work and a snorkel (after almost drowning her in a river crossing).
She has done 542,000km and I'm currently researching doing an engine recon and adding a turbo, you know, to help get up hills a bit better.
Looking forward to learning heaps of stuff on my journey of turning her into a tough tourer and going on some more incredible trips!
