    Gu wont start

    Hey everyone iv just picked up a gu patrol td4.2 the guy i got it off said it had been sitting for a year or so iv sinced drained the tank and got a new battery and primed fuel aswell
    Im new to diesels and havnt a clue where to start just wanted to see if anyone can help me out before i send it to the shop and end up with a huge bill haha

    Check the glow plugs
    Crack the injectors and check for good fuel pressure and no air.
    If thats all Ok next test would be a leak down (compression) check

    Its an old school diesel... if it has glow, compression and decent spray pattern it should fire up

    Also check the stop solenoid on the pump is getting power.
