Advice needed on 1989 Nissan Patrol

    Hi All,

A friend of mine is looking to purchase a Patrol so we can have a bit "fun" on the weekends.

Below is are the details and some pics attached. The only concern I has was that there was no RWC, which I'm sure will be required if purchasing the vehicle.

Any advice, concerns or things to look out for would be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

    Cheers,
    Robbie

    Vehicle: 1989 Nissan Patrol
    Driven: 310,000 km
    Transmission: Automatic
    Asking price: $4,200

    Sellers
Up for sale Nissan patrol Tb42 carby had plans to turbo it but in need of a diesel now to tow for work. Exterior in good condition for its age interior not to bad.
Is dual fuel Lpg/petrol is Tuned to run on Lpg so would need to be tuned to petrol if that’s what you wanted.

    - long range belly fuel tank.
    - 33” tyres
    - 2” OME suspension lift
    - Tough dog adjustable shocks
    - Heavy duty lower rear arms
    - adjustable panhards
    - OME steering damper
    - Crane cams ignition
    - Arb winch bar
    - uhf radio
    - have just spent around $2000.00 on new water pump, brand new brakes, calipers, rotors and pads all round.

Needs new windscreen as has a crack, and need a new lpg instrument as I am just working out how much lpg I have with my kms.
No real rust has rust around slider window but I have a spare one to go with it. Other than that it drives and runs good, used as my daily.

Does not come with rwc and reg.

Spmetimes they use the Aux fuel gauge when you switch to gas.
thats what they did with my dual fuel 4x4. try to aviod those gauges with the lights
Check underneath for signs of off road use, check front wheel bearing.
made even spend some money and get a 4x4 shop to go over it for you.
a bit of paint on the bull bar will make it look a treat
04 ST 3lt auto, not enough Mods to keep me happy, but getting there

Remember - it's a 30 year old vehicle. Just be prepared for a lot of your "fun weekends" being spent working on it.
