Gu locking nut conversion for Gq

Hey guys, just wondering if it's worth converting lock nuts on 91 GQ to the GU ones? Was looking at buying new nuts as last owner wreaked them, and seen about the upgrade. Does it make it that much better doing the change? Thanks guys, appreciate the help.

Yes absolutely. I could never get the GQ system to stay tight, would always work loose after a couple of trips. Never looked back since changing to the GU style.

Pretty sure they are not only GU ones, pretty sure my 92 TI GQ has the same locking nuts from factory standard, but yes do it

I think it was only EFI GQ's that had that setup, my first patrol had them too.
