Anyone know the thread size for the captive nuts in the chassis rails at front end for the bash guard for the steering. I think it is M8 but not sure of the pitch.
Thanks in advance.

I would think its M8 x 1P at a guess.

M8 x 1P doesn't fit. However, 5/16 UNC goes in a couple of turns by hand before stopping. Not game to put a spanner on it yet. Is it possible there are imperial bolts on a Nissan?

Won't be imperial, will be M8 maybe 1.25 pitch.

I would be surprised if Nissan put a coarse thread pitch, ie m8 x 1.25 - but if it sort of screws in with 5/16 UNC maybe it is a standard pitch, but its a crapped up m10 fine pitch, either 1.0 or 1.25P?
