What type of scan tool

Hi have a 2005 tesY61 3L di and I was wondering if anybody knows what type of DIY scan tool works on this engine and where to purchase it 2

I think 2005 becomes obd2 buy a cheap elm327 off ebay. Use a obd2 app and pair it via bluetooth
