Stuck pin on Brake Disks
Hi team,
I've been trying to put new pads on the front disk brakes of my 1989 GQ TD42 Patrol.
On the left the pin (see circled image below) seems to have seized so that it doesn't auto adjust as the pads wear and doesn't fully extend meaning I'm not able to get the new pads in.
Any tricks to un-seize it? have tried lots of oil for quite a long time. If not, is it something I can drill out or do I neeed to source a replacement part (no idea what the part is called?)
Thanks in advance

You will have to remove the entire caliper and pull it apart. The pin is removable and replaceable.

It might be best to give best calipers a birthday and rebuild them both.

Patrol God
A messy but very easy job. Section 9 of the Haynes manual is very easy to follow. You will need specialised brake grease to do the job properly.

Nice one. I'll have a go once the pin arrives and let you know how I get on!
