    Km's or year

Hi guys, I am new to this forum, so a big Hallo to all! And thank you in advance for answering!
I am just about to buy a Nissan patrol 3.0 ltr td to build it up and hopefully drive around Australia for a year.
    My dilemma:
I found two patrols with the same price
2014, 100k km No towbar, no elec brake. Ex police vehicle from Nyngan, never towed.
2015, 135k km Towbar and elec brake. Ex police vehicle Jindabyne (Snow, rainy, prob used to tow?)
The 2014 drives a little tighter than the 2015.
Otherwise they are identical. Both with ironman winch.
Will do all the usual, lift kit, 33" tyres. Exhaust, drawer, lights, roof rack, snorkel, dual battery (towbar &elec brake if I get the 2014, I'll get cheap both $800 installed)
    Now the question:
In one years time, after let's say 30k km, which car will have the better resale value?
I will be towing an off road trailer.
Many thanks for giving me your opinion, I have to make a decision very fast. Hope it all makes sense
    Kai

Interesting. The 2015 with 165k on it will be a high km car. 33k a year over 5 years.

The 2014 will have 130k on it at 22k a year. Check other updates like factory diff locks and abs etc.
    Its a Nissan! =====> Its a Keeper!! ....... Got a TD42 in it BONUS!! ....... I'm a lucky bugger! I've got 2 of em!

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

    Hi Mud runner!
They both have and and diff like.
They absolutely identical, the 2014 has slightly newer tyres, which I don't care about because thinking of putting Mickey Thompson on anyways

I'd go for the 2014, fewer kms = less use = more life left in it.

    2014 for sure

The other one has been setup for heavy towing prob Horse Floats for Mounted or Incident Control or somesuch... BUT... yours will look like it has done the same after you Mod it with the same kit so keep the receipts etc to help prove you did it and not like it from new ex cops for resale

Dolphins are so smart that within a few weeks of captivity, they can train people to stand on the very edge of the pool and throw them fish.

2014 would be the one id get, no towbar means its have and easier life id guess.
less engine load and need for brakes working hard.
also less km so more life in it

Thanks for your feedback, guys. The 2014 it is 🙂! Will get it sometime this week. I am sure more questions will come up once I start pimping the car. Tyre size. Idrive. Cooling. Diff breath. Cheapish tuning of engine... Will start a new thread soon... Kai

2014 would be my pick price difference for towing mods
Plus service history it tells a lot of hidden kinks
04 ST 3lt auto, not enough Mods to keep me happy, but getting there
