G’day from Melbourne’s West
I found this forum when googling why my red light on the dash was still on while driving... that put me in a massive thread rabbit hole.
So I thought I’d register and chuck an intro up in hopes you guys would welcome this amateur 4x4er.
I recently bought a 01’ ST GUII 4.5 manual, $5500 on road +RWC, with that price and it’s KMs and age I expected a few little hiccups but she’s doing alright so far. Nothing like my ‘98 Pulsar on fuel though, thats a weekly kick to the shins (the petrol efficiency is almost 2.5x better than it on gas, gotta get that looked at)
But alas, gday, and you’ll see me round!

Hello and welcome to the forum.
As I lay there looking up, taking in the spectacular view that was the night sky and the multitude of stars I asked myself, where did my tent go?

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

Not the 4.2 diesel sorry, it’s the 4.5ltr Petrol (lpg sub tank). I’m out in Werribee.
It was $5500 with RWC then went to get a wheel balance and my Tyre guy said the wheels were warped so unroadworthy, he reckoned to report the tester, so I called the bloke who sold it to me and he paid me $1080 for the cost of four new tyres, so I guess all I really paid was $4500 with 4 brand spankers.

Is it a common problem on these cars to have the 1/4 sized barn door rattle so much the door open light flashes on and off? And anyone know a fix for this, can’t have my interior lights on the door setting because driving at night looks like I’ve got lightning bolts in my cabin.
