How many ks would you do on an average weekend high country trip? I'd say if the battery lasts for 600km, and you only drove 200km then then there'd be a lot of juice left for winching etc.
Oh, imagine how strong the winch motors could be if they were hooked up to those mega batteries.

I did see and add on traction motor that was for sale in America. It was bolted to the engine and drove the harmonic balancer. Can't seem to find it again though.
