What model is your vehicle? What do you mean by 'clean the injectors'? How many kilometers on the clock and do you know if the air cleaner is new also? Lastly, How BIG is the hill?

Hi, welcome to this great forum I joined here nearly a month ago and found some very helpful advice on repairing and maintaining my 1999 GU RD28Ti.
As PeeBee stated you need to be more specific, provide more specs about your vehicle etc ...

When I joined mudnut pointed me to an excellent guide for the 2.8 litre Patrol here:
    http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...hings-to-check
Here's some other threads that may help you:
    http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...er-when-towing
    http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/showthread.php?597-Checking-and-cleaning-MAF-sensors

This is what I would check if I was having power problems:

Check / test all Vacuum lines especially the one to the turbo Waste Gate Actuator.
Full air and fuel system clean.
Replace the air and fuel filters there maybe a a gauze filter at the injector pump.
Replace the oil and oil filters.
    Clean the MAF.
    Clean the crank postion sensor.
    Test injectors.
Test turbo and make sure it was boosting properly.
    Adjust the tappets.
Clean out and pressure test the Intercooler.

If your Patrol's sluggish then doing the above would be a good start.
I have been told the Injector Pump is a common problem they generally fail early around 280k.
A lift pump after the tanks would assist fuel pressure.
When you fix your problem let us know how?
    Good luck.

When they are brand new and nothing in them except the driver, they go pretty well I reckon, but then its down hill from my experience.

So true for the dirty 30 as well! I don't even carry a toolbox anymore. I also want to remove the third row seats, but I'm under orders from the boss, not to in case we need them when we have visitors ;[

    Too true!
The only mod mine has is a Chip, it goes great but switch the chip off and it is sluggish as until the turbo takes over.
