Has anyone heard of CIL insurance ?? I was told about them the other day and they sounded to good to be true. The guy that told me said he only pays $270 for $15,000 insurance on his truck and swears by them ??

Do they cover 4wds?
I think they only cover motorhomes and caravans, etc.
What type of truck does that guy have?

My suggestion would be read the fine print. When talking to them have a list of insurance questions like "Are you covered if going off road?" "Are the spot lights covered if stolen"etc
As you said in your thread posting "they sounded to good to be true" check them out throughly.

They only insure a 4wd if it's been converted to a motor home.
The conspiracy theorists were right!

I have my slide on camper insured through CIL. They are good but they, from memory only do caravan's and campers. I pay around $320 for $16000 of camper. In organising my insurance there were 2 requite quesions that they asked: The first. does it have a kitchen and secondly does it have cooking facilities. These being said, I think it would rule out normal vehicles.
Cheers

Rang CIL, they don't insure 4X's. I ended up going with Comminsure, i decided to do an "agreed value" and they would only give me $13,400 but it only cost me $450 and they let you pay monthly without charging extra.
