Yeah I really love to have one of those splitters at my place for a bit. I got a few bigguns that I have failed to split by hand.

Yeah I'm thinking I will have to hire one. I will wait to Rossco has finished the last lot of trees at my place first though. There one more massive pine that has to go.

I am in the market for a fossil fuel log splitter (30-40Tonne) - Give me some details of your machine mate. Make, model, ram capacity(stoke / force) and can it handle those gnarly ones(knotted jobbies) and when does it start to complain.
Had a hernia repair last year, so have to stop throwing billets over shoulder and down on back of axe.
sugestion??

It's not my machine, it was Roofy's.
I don't know anything about it though unfortunately, all I know is that it wasn't an expensive one. My father in law has the exact same model though which I will be seeing in a couple of weeks so can get some info for you then.
It handled everything we threw at it with ease though and can be flipped up vertically.

Was wondering about vertical drop, certainly did OK job. If all good, just let me know the manufacture/type/model and I can work from there. thanks
