Just fitted a OME Steering damper and is the gap normal? GU 2006 Wagon.
Also when I took the truck for a test drive it pulls a little to the left so do I need to get an alignment or will it settle in and be OK?

Hi again Snicko,
Your damper doesn't affect your alignment.
Try turning the steering full lock either way several times on flat ground.
Sometimes this seems to help if they have been stored on their end for a while.
Is the gap the end of the tapered bolt?
If it is and the taperis nice and tight in the bracket with the nut tightened, it should be ok.
Do you have a mechanic who could take a look for you?
I will try tomorrow the full lock trick and Monday I could take it to the ARB store I bought the damper from and get him to look at it.
Thanks again
Snicko

Pic of finished fitting. (The gap is the same at each end.)
While I was under there, I found a oil drip again. I asked my mechanic last time I noticed oil dripping and he said it was normal for oil to come out of the hose as it was an over fill hose? Is this what it is?? I have taken a pic so you know what I am talking about.
