    Hello World :-)

    Merry Christmas Everyone :-)
    I live in Coffs Harbour and about 6 months ago I bought a 2011 Nissan Patrol Ti Auto (ZD30 CRD).
    Had massive regrets when I first bought it do to the complete lack of power (struggled to tow a box trailer and motorbike at 110) and the fuel consumption. Kicking myself for not buying a Grand Cherokee (don't laugh it would have been infinitely better at this point of the story).
    Been reading non stop about the mods that can be done to the patrol and in the process realised I had numerous boost leaks from the intercooler and pipes.

    My engine upgrade list is limited to intake and exhaust:
    * Forefront Intercooler (25% larger)
    * 3" 4wdsupacentre Domin8r (Berklee) exhaust also ceramic coated - with muffler so near stock noise levels
    Tip: 4wdsupacentre do not keep these in stock which extends the delivery time by quite a bit. Probably better ordering direct from berklee.
    * Genuine Nissan Snorkel
    Future Upgrades will be limited to braking and suspension.

    I'll be heading down to an ecu tune shop in light of all these mods this week and have my fingers crossed that the power goes up and fuel goes down.
    I fit nearly everything myself so have been babying it around till I get professionals to look over it all, so I don't really have a good idea of any difference at this point.

    We are hoping to get some serious touring done when complete (neither of us interested in technical/advanced 4wding).

    Anyway that is us in a nutshell. I haven't had any questions that the forums haven't been able to answer yet, so I thank you all for your time in posting here.

    Drive safe, drive smart and all the best for 2019! :-)

    G'day mate and welcome to the forum. I see you have a join date of April but this is your first post. Anywqy it is always disapointing when a vehicle doesn't meet your expectations. Hopefully it is a small tuning issue or maybe an intercooler leak and you get the performance you are looking for.

    Thanks 4bye4.

    Yes, I was doing quite a lot of research prior to buying and this forum was a great help in doing that.
    That is what guided me to buying a more recent model and avoid the grenade.
    Now that I'm committed to keeping the vehicle and investing in it, I thought it was time to say g'day :-)
    Funnily (or sadly, depending on your point of view), I've written about 3 intros prior to this one for here, but I keep getting distracted and losing them.

    The reason I decided to commit in the end was actually the wealth of knowledge, upgrades and accessories that are tailored to the Patrol.

    The entire market seems to be flooded with dual cab utes which is a real shame for me because I just don't find that little tub on the back to be of much use.
    Aside from the Patrol and Landcruiser there aren't any other large 4wds in the market.

    I'd like to do a full write up of my experience to date as I think it would help others in deciding whether or not to go with a Patrol or not.
    I know for me, in 2018, it was a tough choice. Of course money plays a massive part in that decision, but I think my experiences might help.

    Cheers :-)
