    TD42 no wastegate

Has anyone run their silvertop td42 after market turbo with no wastegate and just controlled the boost with the fuel?
Is there really any chance of over boosting it with the 10mm pump or could it do any damage?

Its essentially a safety device to ensure pressure don't exceed a setpoint. I guess if you either want to potentially overstress your engine into the next life, its a great idea or perhaps quicken the timeline to a new engine, go for it.
