INTRO and PROBLEM with injector set up leaking diesel sd33 81 motor.
Hi everyone ,
I've been a person to just have a look now and then on this site since I was lucky enough to buy an old mq in 2013 from a friend.
I live in Alice and have travelled to the areas I could only dream to when without the vehicle to do it in, that has been a great privilege and the scenery is truly inspiring.
I as I presume, you that have one of these old mq patrols know it isn't easy trying to keep them on the road because of there age and parts being not so easy to come by.
Any way I after recently spending money yet again on a few things have now a problem with leaking of diesel around the injector area, my mechanic has tried a few things to stop the problem without success, so I am trying the people here to see if you may have had a similar problem and have fixed it and how.
I look forward to your help or ideas,
Thanks Michael

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

Thanks for the welcome everyone ,I took your advice "threedogs" and posted on the mechanic section just before , also "MudRunnerTD" I am not to certain exactly what has been done to rectify the problem apart from really making tight the connection and a bit of emery paper smoothing flat on the brass part that has the diesel pass through.
Anyway I hope to hear of some ideas on the mechanics section .
Thanks Michael.
