NATS question

sorry if this is the wrong place to post very new at this .

in a 2002 ZD30DDTI with NATS immobiliser will the motor still crank if failed I cant find and answer so thought i would ask the group??
or is it only the pump that is told by ECU not to inject ??

I'm pretty sure the cut off solenoid is at the pump. Well , it is on the crd and 42ti , can't imagine di being different.
So itll crank .
But we all know dry cranking is no fun.

If the red light on the top of the dash is on while cranking then the immobiliser in the key hasn’t been detected and it’ll crank but won’t fire.
