    TD42 Turbo Temps

    Hey guys what kind of temps it every one running on the highway with their turbo td42?
    EGT, Water temp and Oil pressure

    Absolutely no idea except for auto and it runs anywhere from 80 - 120 ish .

    It is kind of one of those hugely variable things mate.
    For our 3.0T + family GU not towing on flat windfree highways and its somewhat stock intercoolerless TD42T if I recall correctly around about this:
    EGT= 250-350C
    Water = 80-90C without aircon @ say 25C ambient temperature.
    Oil Pressure = Unsure, no aftermarket gauge fitted.
    Boost = 12psi but cruises around 10psi for above figures.
    Add on a decent loaded horse float and head up some hills and we stop driving off the speedo and gear down to keep the EGT’s below 550C and Water below 100C.
    We know it’ll take more but without an intercooler and tuned to suit we just go easier on it for happier returns over the years.
