    Lost Boost?

Suddenly feels like no boost and using a bit more fuel with a little more soot, only mod is blanking plate otherwise stock. Tell me it’s just my maf as I usually go limp mode every month before it needs a clean but haven’t had limp mode for nearly 3 months since maf and fuel filter clean out.
Also noticed while driving under load (as it hardly did it in 4wL) sounded like a vacuum cleaner under my bonnet. Thx in advance

Sounds like a vacuum leak. Check all the cuffs and clamps on you intercooler.

Or a boost leak. Busted boost hose maybe. Your motor will smoke more when there is no no going to the motor.

Agree with Mudski - sounds like a boost hose has come off.

Maybe just split. I had a boost hose come off my old ZD I had and the thing really struggle to move. If its split i might just hold some boost until a certain level then let go.

Agree, most likely a boost leak (hose fatigue or poor clamping). Check from turbo to inlet manifold and have a good look around inlet manifold joiners as is difficult to get a good visual.

Pulled the inter cooler off and had a fair bit of oil around the outlet pipe and think the hose clamp wasn’t as tight as it could’ve been, took it for a quick spin around the block still sooting but can’t hear the vacuum cleaner sound. Will take it for a bigger drive to see if problem is solved or if the oil under the inter cooler is from a crack or hose.

Oil under the intercooler usually means its leaking...

Would be washing out that IC, clean out your hoses and get yourself a catch can (genuine Provent 200 if U can afford). The induction pipe from airbox to turbo, give it a clean. As mudski said cooler may be leaking but recon the "oil" from crank case ventilation vapor could have been accumulating over time and loose clamp may have let her blow out.. Inlet manifold may need a clean, but can look at later.

What does your cooler look like (any oil smear or deposits and what is it?

Went for a short run today and started sounding more like a tractor had a better look while idling and found this, also EGR valve assemblyseems to move at bottom of pipe, hoping easy fix and not major catastrophe
