Tuned 👌
So got the old girl back from tune she was stock mods are as listed. Posting this because I guess a lot of people want to know roughly how much hp nm torque they can get with basically just a mild tune. It’s a 2000 TD4.2 black top stock turbo.
3 inch dump and exhaust
Snorkel
It makes 135 rwhp and 620 odd nm of torque
Running 12 pound of boost and it never gets close to 500de oh EGT. I got it to 480 pumping it flat out up a hill in 5th and let’s just say I was a fair bit over the 110 limit 😂 but wanted to test it, obviously making sure the highway was quiet.

That’s some great torque there Drifty mate for a near stocky TD42T, good work!
Identical setups have had over the years I’ve only ever lightly squeezed some 95rwkw (130rwhp) and IIRC circa 350-400nm.
Was your run with road tyres, AT’s or Muddies on mate?
Was told our muddies do create a lot of roller friction and skews the numbers a bit.

Excellent, thanks. I've spoken to a few tuners and they say post turbo is fine for the EGT probe.
I'm just researching as much as I can as I'm installing an EGT gauge soon.
Thanks, Ash

Yeah I recommend VDO not to expensive and easy to look at. Prob redarc is better but nearly triple or so the price.
