    Cool TB42e CUSTOM HEADERS

    Hi to all!

Im new in the forum, and im from Costa Rica, Central America, (sorry for my bad english haha)

I have a Patrol GQ 96´with TB42e, and im searching the best option of custom extractors/headers to increase power, i see 6-1 , 6-2-1 , ando 6-3-1 pipes.. a mecanic tuner friend recomend me 6-1 configuration (1-1/2" primary pipes and 3" pipe to muffler...)

any experience with that configuration? my patrol has snorkel, hi flow air filter and 3" intake pipe.. run only petrol, no gas.

I see a lot of 6-2-1 headers in ebay for TB/TD42, but no 6-1

    For a TB48 yes a i see 6-1 headers most comun

    Thanks

6-2-1, having the pulses from cylinders at the opposite end of their cycle helps keep gas speed up through the collector which helps scavenge gases as the exhaust valve opens.

6-1 would be more useful in a boosted application

    thanks..

Well, another important thing that affects the scavenging is the quality of manufacturing and engineering with which the headers were made, so I think that maybe it is not so much the number of tubes but how they are welded and folded together.... if i more learn in internet, im more confused
