    4 inch lift Install

    Hi all,
I recently bought an 07 Patrol which supposedly had a 2 inch lift in it but it had sagged something fierce so it's time to upgrade. I was thinking of installing a 4 Inch lift, might as well upgrade a bit. Is there much involved with installing a 4 inch lift on a Patrol?

I'm fairly new to the Patrol world having come from the Pajero side of things.

4inch in illegal to start with, but will pass from and engineers report.
Here is a list of items that you will require if doing a 4inch lift.
    • springs
    • shocks
    • steering dampener ( if you still have the OEM one)
    • sway bar extensions
    • longer brake hoses
    • drop boxes
    • adjustable drag link
    • adjustable front panhard rod
    • adjustable rear panhard rod
    • adjust rear upper control arms
    • 10mm longer real lower control arms (maybe) atleast get stronger ones.
    • brake bias extension bracket

I think thats is from memory. You can't just put in springs and shocks for a 4inch lift, as you are massively altering the suspension geometries and all these components will aid in getting it all correct.

Just out of curiosity. Why 4" ?
Are you planning to fit much larger tyres ?
