    Standard height? What is it?

Hi guys, I have recently bought a patrol and have intentions of raising it. What I was wondering was if anyone knew what their standard height is so I can ascertain if it has been raised at all in the past and how much higher I might want to go? Does anyone knwo what height it should be from the factory and where it was measured from?
    Cheers,
    Yowie

Usually measured from the bottom edge of the rim (for factory rims) to the metal top edge of the quarter panel flare (not the plastic).

Not sure of GU original height, but "reasonably" sure the front of the GQ measured 762mm stock standard as detailed above.

Hi bigrig, you are absolutely spot on for my rig! It is bang on 762mm. It must have had the suspension done at some time. in fact it is on monroe shocks but have no idea of age. Is there any way to tell?

Have you checked in with the logbook? I'm one of those people who keep the receipts of work done so I know dates, costs etc. You might have been lucky enough to score the rig from someone who does the same.

Other than that, I'm sure they'd be stamped somehow to tell production date, but would not show the actual installation date (could have been in storage/on the shelf for months).

Cheers Bigrig, unfortunately I do not have a log book with the vehicle. I bought it having had a good check over and knowing it is free from rust. It has over 300,000 on the clock so I am aware that there are going to be some issues, but generally it is a good clean truck and a good solid base for building into something really nice... I hope so anyway. All I need now is time and money!
