GQ RB30 fast Idle
Hey,
Having fast Idle issues on a Rb30 GQ.
Does anyone have a photo of where the white plastic piece (that sits above the throttle cable) should sit? Seems that if i press down on this the idle returns to normal until you give the throttle a tap and it returns to a fast idle.
Is there an easy way to back off the auto choke, or disconnect it entirely?
The carby is probably due for a carby kit but i have noticed the linkages are all starting to flog out. Has anyone tried one of the new ebay carbys that go for around 350? They seem to be for a 4.2 and a 3l. I assume i'll need to swap over the jetting as surely they are different between the two engines?
Unless someone knows of someone on the sunshine coast that is a Carby guru that may be able to freshen up the one i have got?
Cheers in advance

Patrol God
There should a carby specialist near you, or ask someone who races speedway cars if they know someone who is great at reconditioning carbies.
I found that Fuel Miser carby kits work well.
http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...-Helpful-Hints There is a bit of info in that thread.
I fitted a manual choke made from a cheap kit and a used hand throttle off a wrecked GQ.
