What is the max tyre size for a 2000 GU with 2 inch lift? Nothing has been cut etc

You will have a tyre placard somewhere that shows max tyre size but on a GQ it's 33" and yes max lift is 2" ,well that's in Victoriastan anyway .

Road legal down here IIRC a max of 75mm increase in our GU heights overall from stock. (tyres & lift together)
2” great chosen size lift is 50.8mm so only leaves under 1” tyre increase (radius) from your specific tyre placard kindly mentioned by GQTDAuto above. (Placards can model vary too I believe)
35” ‘moderate’ muddies will scrape a tad experienced out in the bush, most noticeably front end turning hard down a steep descent but nothing to fret too hard over mate!
EDIT: 35’s not road allowed on GU’s without ‘Portal Axles’ & certified registration thereafter, boys in blue will still query roadside though on sight!

33's, or a 285/75R16 will fit with ease but you may rub on the front mudflap. To overcome this you either remove the mudflap, or put some radius arm spacers in which push the front wheels forward just enough. 35's will fit but you will again have rubbing issues in the same spot, and its illegal anyway.
Edit : or as old mate above has said...

Beat me to the edit same time legalities, good man Mr Mudski Tis a shame, 35’s on a GU could road swerve test up as good as any GQ on 33’s in theory?

So theoretically I could fit 35s? With the 2 inch lift in it

And keep standards in case the boys in blue nick me?

Car is very neat not belted up so maybe I could get away with 35s

35" tyres are not legal, regardless of lift. 33" is the limit. Combined with 2" suspension lift, or 33" tyres only or 3" lift only and no change in tyre diameter.

As PeeBee mentions above mate and do be extra careful as 3” equates to 76.2mm and they have been known to use metric tapes roadside around here!

    Yeah you'll get away ...
    Till they get you.

In simplest form of English , 35 inch are a no go. Regardless of how you look at it and how you set your car up.
