Will HT18 Turbo be happy with a TB42!!

So I may own one of the most in-efficient engines in exsistance
And rather than replacing the entire engine like a normal person.
I could just turbo what I have and experience power increase in a vehicle that desperately needs it.

So my plan right now, is to convert the engine to Efi.
then turbo it with a 2nd hand ht18 that all you cool Diesel fokes have.

Since both TB42 and TD42 have the same displacement, would exhaust gas pressure be similar?

I can't seem to find any information on anyone doing this, (maybe that's a sign that you cant?)

    any help would be appreciated

No doubt no help at all Patrolwise & Mechanical nuffy I’d be mate. Did own an obscure 2F petrol Land Crab 55 many years ago with an old GMH Zenith carb to mini Borg turbo IIRC. Great thing although something like 250km per 80L was ridiculous for me even when fuel was circa $0.45pL :-(

No. Ht18 is to small for the petrol. Something like the gt35 that comes standard on a falcon xr6 turbo should work reasonably well.
