GQ Manual to Auto TPS wiring nightmare

    Hi all,

I'm in the middle of a Manual GQ to Auto conversion for my hummer project.

I have an issue where it's now shifting gears but not very sensibly with no regard to throttle.

Looking around I can see some wires to the TCU aren't fully finished.

The main issue is I can't find a TPS to finish the wiring. It's a TB42E

According to the wires and wiring guide the thing attatched to my throttle body that looks like a TPS is actually a Throttle Valve Switch.

Do I need to install a TPS on my pedal? The only thing attatched looks to be the kick down switch.

Is this where a TB42E TPS goes? On the pedal? And do I modify it to take it?

Hello and welcome to the forum. The workshop manual you can download from this forum has some pretty good diagrams, such as this.

My advice is: not to follow my advice.
