    Hypergear turbo

    I would like to go down the path of highflowed ht18 turbo. Before anyone says just get this brand or that brand, not interested. I have been looking for actual reviews from people but can’t find much. Can anyone tell me about hypergear turbos. How much they improve the power/drivability of the vehicle. What rpm the boost comes on and all that jazz. Any input or advice would be great cheers

    Hi mate, it is reasonable that you wont find much in the way of reviews because there is soooo many better options on the market these days than a Hiflowed HT18. In Fact if what was on the market now was available 10 years ago along with the R&D i dont think anyone would have ever bothered hiflowing a HT18...

    Is there a reason your adamant that a HT18 is where you want to stay? Dont be put off by the pissing contest at the pointy end of performance TD42s, There really is a heap of options for you that are Safe, Reliable, Cheaper than a Hiflowed HT18 and just better.

    What Pump do you have? 10mm or 11mm?
    Its a Nissan! =====> Its a Keeper!! ....... Got a TD42 in it BONUS!! ....... I'm a lucky bugger! I've got 2 of em!

    The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

    11mm pump rebuilt about 40 thou ago. One reason is I want everything to bolt up the same therefor I though if I was to get a high flow ht18 all would go back together easy. 2 is there are so many different boost rangers for turbos. Ideally I would like one that kicked in a bit earlier than the ht18 but also lasted a bit longer in the boost range. I’m only looking at running 15 psi as the car Ute has done about 400thou and it’s my daily work Ute. I’m not sure what’s going on with the turbo atm but general driving it’s running at 14, when I go to a big hill or the egt’s Start to go up if I back off and foot it again it goes to about 17 or 18 psi. On the upside when the turbo blows I have got at factory TPF ( turbo particulate filter) being my inter cooler haha
