    Td42 turbo squealing noise

    G'day all,ive got a td42 with dts turbo kit.
Kits been on for about 1 year, motors done 205,000ks.
Last couple of days she's making a squealing noise as boost comes on.
Seems to be when cold but only does it if i put my boot into it hard in 1st and 2nd gear.
It's still getting full boost...15psi and still goes really well.
I'm thinking maybe it's ex manifold gasket?
Anyone else had this prob or know what it could be?
    Cheers!

Yep could be gasket or warped manifold.

Do you have a top mount IC?

Very common for an intercooler to have a little crack and the harmonics of the turbo come out and close up a bit when heated up, etc.

    Gday ab.
    No i/c as yet,tassie winters don't really require one.lol
Think I'll get the torch out and look for soot around the manifold.
Would cross over pipe to inlet manifold leak make the same noise?
She's got a bit of oil mist around there

It could I guess but the sound wouldn't go away when it's warm.

Just confirming sound goes when reached operating temp yes?

Unless you have a crack in the cross over which is unheard of but you could check that easy.
