    Phunkshun's GQ TD42

    G'day all

So I have a TD42 GQ Patrol, bought it pretty stock full grandpa spec tow rig, paints a bit rough around the edges but that doesn't worry me a lot.

    Mods so far:
DTS turbo kit - already on her
    3" straight through exhaust
    Air bags in coils
    UHF
    Electric trailer brakes
    Steel bullbar
    Airflow snorkle
    Roof Rack

    Mods to come:
    3" lift
    5" shocks
    Shock tower extensions
    5 Link front end
    Remove air bags
    Rear draws
Dash pod for Gauges and UHF
    Stainless snorkle
Remove one of the two airboxs
    33" Tyres
    Comp style bullbar
Rear steel bar with swing away tyre carrier
and some other stuff I can't think of right now

I'm also in the process of building a comp truck with a mate that is also a GQ but full broke arse budget spec

    Cheers
    Phunkshun

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

It's the Green colour but unfortunately the sun has ruined the clear coat on the bonnet and the drivers side

Got rid of the crappy old single din head unit, fitted a Double din touch screen unit and cleaned up some wiring

    Bloody terrible home job

Fitted plugs so if I ever put another head unit in easy to make an adaptor harness

How do you find the touch screen to use? I was considering one but it is so low down and behind the gear stick that i would imagine it gets pretty annoying?
Its hard enough trying to adjust the volume on mine haha

I've got a touchscreen head unit. love it. it came with a little remote, which works very well. also has the volume controls hard mounted on the side anyway.
    cheers
