new member intro 99 4.2 gu

    hi all
I just recently purchased the old girl and now have a few months travelling oz with 2t caravan, the whole trip I have been reading up on turbos and mods that will help extract more power and am fairly confident a bw 6758 should do the job and will also fit a front mount intercooler.
Also will be looking at a new clutch kit
so anyone with exp with similar set up your info would be much appreciated

Hello and welcome to the forum.
As I lay there looking up, taking in the spectacular view that was the night sky and the multitude of stars I asked myself, where did my tent go?

Welcome to the forum mate and feel free to ask any questions.

Yep, I have the 6758 with a well built 12mm pump and FMIC and its a perfect set up for the TD42.

    wow time has flown by
ive added 30k to the truck and shes performed well in all offroad terrai
shes been the creb, the old tele track, kimberly's and to steep point to name a few.

unfortunately shes also gained afew leaks 3 oil and water around the front and a slight seep from the head gasket at the back
ill have to pull timing cover off and front plate soon to sort out the front leaks oil and water can leaking in 2 different spots
water looks to be the orings or front plate
but the oil has me scratching my head, doesnt look like the crank seal and the spray is mainly near the back cover to th ip
ive bought a whole load of seals and gaskets hopefully this sorts the front.
any advice would be very helpful
shes booked for compression test and leak down in 2 weeks
