EGR Cooler
Hello all.
I have owned my 2003 TD42 DX Ute
Ever since I got it I have had to add water regularly. There have been no symptoms that would explain it. No leaks, no bubbles, no rough starting, no overheating, no nothing, except I had to add water to it every week.
I finally tracked it down to the EGR cooler leaking internally.
About 3 weeks ago I blocked off the water to both sides of the EGR cooler, and haven't had to add water since.
This problem nearly drove me mad. I was already starting to plan for pulling the head and stuff.
Hope this helps someone else.

Nice find. I wonder where the water was going though.
