    Cruise control not working

Just bought a 2000 GU Patrol petrol 4.5 and the cruise doesn't work , this is the third early model gu patrol in the last few weeks that we've
    come across that have had
the same problem , is it a common problem with them or something in the system fails ?

    Manual or Auto?
Clutch switch can be a tricky one that most people miss checking if it is a Manual.

A lot of people can't be bothered fixing the Cruise and do without unless it is a Tourer.
Usually easy to sort out whats wrong in 90% of cases.
Dolphins are so smart that within a few weeks of captivity, they can train people to stand on the very edge of the pool and throw them fish.

If the cruise is the type that mechanically pulls the throttle, the TINY motor that activates it is prone to wearing out the gears. Usual fix is to replace the the entire system with electronic style. Mine came from ALL Fourx4 Spares, brand is Autostrada--works a treat on the 2006 3.0Di
GU IV 2006; 3.0 DDi ST-S; Nissan Snorkel, Bull Bar and Tow Bar; Warn 8,000# Winch with Dyneema rope; Auber EGT, Boost and dual Battery gauges; Provent 200; Dual Batteries; Three Dogs recovery points; Rear Springs +20% load; Outback drawers and Cargo Barrier; UHF; [GPS, Radio, CD, Bluetooth, SD, USB] floor extension; Alloy roof rack

My Autron works a treat on my 04 3ltr auto.
Check to every thing is tight do these have magnets on the tail shaft
If so another item to check.
Only check one thing at a time then youll know in the end what it actually was
04 ST 3lt auto, not enough Mods to keep me happy, but getting there
