How about this Poor fella, who found out driving too fast through a washout, late on a in-coming high tide, is not such a great idea in a AWD with no snorkel (pics by my son)



The guy has his hand on the back of the car to stop it drifting to far (back end was floating), it was getting pushed by waves that splashed over the roof after pounding into the side.





Water had already been running out for about 5mins when this pic was taken.....




The car is a "brand new" Subaru GT Forester (only 2 months old) it would not start after recovery, and needed to be towed off the beach.


Not a good way to finish a day out at the beach !
