    Steering Wheel Stereo Control Cluster

I've got a 2013 ST wagon and it has the cruise control cluster fitted on the RHS of the steering wheel but there is no cluster fitted on the LHS. I have seen some images of the Ti model and it looks like it has a stereo control cluster on the LHS of the steering wheel. I am looking at doing a stereo upgrade and I assume that it would be possible for me to buy one of these stereo control clusters and retrofit it to the steering wheel and then get an appropriate adaptor to then hook it up to an aftermarket head unit.

Has anybody done this and if so how hard is it??

    Steering Wheel Stereo Control Cluster

You can do it. I have bought all the bits for my old 2001 GU, but havent done the instal yet. You will need the clock spring also from the same model vehicle you get the controls from. How hard it is, I have no idea sorry. But its possible. From memory the controls and clock spring will set you back around $300 or so...

An old thread but I'm looking to do similar on a 2012 model. I suspect the clock spring is fine, I've heard that there are a couple of patch cables either end that are needed (and unavailable from Nissan). My question though, is which model even had the audio buttons, I'm get to find even a picture of a patrol wheel with the buttons, let along try to contact Nissan for them. I've seen a thread about the part being available in the US from an 02/03 Maxima. I'd like to get something new from Australia if possible.

    Cheers,
    Paul

OK awesome, that probably gives me enough to go on. I'll look up some more of those models and see what can be tracked down, not too impressed on payng $80-100 USD for the unit.

    Cheers,
    Paul
