Best way to remove dent on fold rear quarter

So I had a little mishap on the weekend with a hidden branch behind a bush on a very tight overgrown seldom used track.

I'm going to have a crack of trying to get the rear quarter dent out on the fold of the panel.

What would be the best way to tackle this?

Heat the guard to try and stop paint cracking, go in from the jack holder compartment with a plate on bottom of fold and hit out and repeat on high side of fold?

    Any help appreciated folks!!

    Not after perfection...

I dont think you'll get away without damaging the paint, because it is creased imo. But I'm hopeless at body work

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

When Peter Tommasini had his show on Ch31 I was transfixed every episode. Do some googling under his name you might find something. Absolute metal genius.

What is the charge? Eating a meal? A succulent Chinese meal??

That dent is not coming out without paint damage.

Removing the inner trim will give you access to get in there, but since the fold/crease line is damaged, it will take a lot of beating, and pulling to get it straight again. To get it straight properly, the paint needs to be taken back to bare metal.....
