Gq wiper park
Mornin' all. Got a prob with the 'park' in the wipers. 97 GQ ute.
The suckers were working prior to roadworthy. Come roadworthy and blew a fuse. Replaced same and they worked long enough to pass.
The problem centres around the 'park' switching. Disable 'park' and the wipers work fine but won't shut down. Enable 'park' and fuse blows.
Relay seems to check out ok.
Anyone had similar and have a fix for?
No fun not being able to enjoy all the lovely mud in QLD at the mo'.

Bumpety bump.
Gotta be somebody out there who has an idea of what is going on.
I have changed out the wiper motor and problem remains as is.

Nope never heard of this issue, could it be the actual switch itself?

its inside the wiper motor is the switching arrangement .
I took mine off and had a look some time ago as mine was not parking in the same spot .
I fixed it cleaned the contacts .
