    Passenger side engine mount.

Pulled the 2nd battery tray out today. (I think it is going in the back now)
    Heaps more room
I noticed this though. Engine mount on the passenger side looks berked.
Is the passenger side the one you put the strong one in?

Geez that looks knackered , I was told the motor lifts from that side when you put the foot down so yes it should be the stronger one of the two .

Yeah the drivers side looks intact.
I got a genuine one for the drivers side from patrolapart and one from superior for the passenger side.

Could be, although mine has the stronger on the drivers side ..... Fitted before I took ownership of the vehicle I might add

Whilst shopping for them the sites mentioned that is is commonly the passenger side that breaks, presumably as it is under tension when accelerating.

If you only do one "heavy duty" mount technically it should be on the pax side mate.
Indeed some after market dudes only make LH side ones
That is the mount under tension from engine load and the driver side is under compression.

Personally, I believe it best to do all the mounts at the same time.
Yes the pax engine mount has the most anti-rotational load but if it has gone then the others have had to take up the extra strain.
Having said that, I've never broken a Patrol Engine Mount
Only engine mounts I ever broke were on my worked EH Holden.

    Passenger side engine mount.

I’ve just put a bush-style one on the passenger side - I’ve replaced normal ones three times on that side since acquiring the car four years ago.
When I bought it from Patrolapart, the guy I was dealing with asked which side I was going to put it on - when I told him passenger, another bloke in there said ‘the side that always breaks’

Should be yes but it isn't and not gonna stuff around swapping it over until it needs to be done, changing engine mounts is not my most favourite of jobs to do
