    Towing - Camper trailer GuIV

    Evening everyone,

I am looking at getting a camper trailer with a tare weight of around 1600kgs - +/- 2000kg loaded, is my 2006 GUIV going to tow this ok or am i going to be chugging around everywhere watching EGT? or should i stop worrying and just get on with it? i realize i am not going to zip around but...

I have a larger intercooler, 3" exhaust and gauges, 2in lift. i have a dawes valve but have not installed it yet. (time and kids)

    Regards,

    Alastair

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.
WARNING: Towballs used for recoveries can, and do kill people and damage property.

My 3.0Di managed our trailer easily--only places we were REALLY slow were climbing up to Toowoomba and Monto--both steep and long. Just get down in the gears early.

How did you go with the camper trailer Alastair? I have a 3lt CRD and find it very sluggish on long hills when towing my camper and I do watch my revs and temp constantly. My car has only 60k on the clock and is great when not towing.
