Emulsion Block under Carby?????

Hey everyone. I have a maverick 88 4.2 ltr petrol. Just recently, I sent the carby away to rebuilt. I have been told by the repairers that it needs an emulsion block. Logically, it sounds ok as there could be an airlock, but it didn't actually have it when I brought it. I am also having a very tough time trying to locate one. When it first came back from being rebuilt, it was flooding after driving it. I sent it back to make sure they had replaced the needle and seat (which was a problem I had encountered before), and apparently they have, but they told me it should have this block. The carby is slightly warped (older age). So can anyone help me find one of these or have any info?
