My first Patrol
I finaly found some Time to check the Patrol inside and out and so far the News aren't good but let's start from the top:
It's a 1999 SWB with the RD28 and a 5 Speed Manual (what else?) finished in Dark Green Mica.
I bought it for my Mom so she can take it down to South Italy and sign it on Italian Plates for her to use.
Now the not so good Part, the t-do List:
- Full Tune up including Timing Belt
- Front Brake Pads and Rotors need replacing
- Rear left and right lower Quarter Panels and Wheel wells look like Swiss Cheese (Rust)
- iSeems like 1 or 2 Glow Plugs are shot
- the Interior stinks of Sheep butt (seriously)
- there is a squeeking noise from the Gearbox Bellhousing
- the Radio is broken
- the previous owner gave me a bucket with 12 Screws in it and no one knows where they're from....
so, Time to break out the Welder and Hammer....

Patrol Freak
Welcome and nothing like a challenge to make you love the beast.
As I lay there looking up, taking in the spectacular view that was the night sky and the multitude of stars I asked myself, where did my tent go?
