Dyno Tune Next Monday at JC Diesel Narellen need general advice

Hi Guys

My 2003 GU td42ti is going in for a dyno Tune next Monday.

It has the following mods:

-3 inch turbo back exhaust
-Catch Can
-Larger Top Mount Intercooler
-Electronic two stage boost controller (current 13 psi)
-Nissan Skyline G35 Fan

Now I read up and been told 18:1 Ratio is perfect as this isnt rich so doesnt heat up the engine.

The tuner at JC diesel is recommending 16 psi and ratio of 17:1

Is this okay? Would like further advice

Right now my car runs perfectly. Could do with more power and better economy but hey Im not complaining. Still better than my 120 series v6 prado at 18lph around town.


I dont want my car heating up due to richer mixtures.

Should I just tell them at full load only to go 18:1?
