GU over reving when Cruise engaged.
I have a 2011 Automatic 3lt CRD GU Patrol. I can be tooling along at 100ks with the cruise control engaged, when ascending a slight rise in elevation the cruise will kick back in a lower gear to compensate, ( I'm assuming 3rd )....no problem. However the cruise will then decide its not enough and change back into what I believe is second gear....yes whilst still maintaining 100ks of pace.
The tacho hits redline and I disengage instantly to minimise stress to both the engine and my wallet.
Is this a module / electrical issue? Or is it turbo related?
Cheers boys.
