I am considering a fridge slide for the GU.
I don't have drawers and was wondering what the best way to mount the slider would be?
Has anyone done this that could share their solution, pics welcome

As I lay there looking up, taking in the spectacular view that was the night sky and the multitude of stars I asked myself, where did my tent go?
Tek screws straight through the floor.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

Christ Dazz you dodgy bastard lol
Use the existing bolt holes from the dickie seat to mount a board to the entire rear floor and mount slide to that.

Nah no way. Tek screws straight through the carpet and through the floor. works fine. no stuffing around. every mount hole gets a tek screw. Strong and fast and efficient. If you ever remove the slide the carpet will hide the small holes.
Both cars have drawers held down like this. Fridge slide straight through the floor too. no problem.
Anything else you mount into your car is held with tek screws?? Compressors, etc. Tek Screws get it done no dramas

Really, my drawers before new cab were tek screwed down and felt pretty dodgey about it. New setup is bolted through floor with nuts bolts & big washers same with fridge slide. Not that you ever want it to happen but if the car ends up upside down don't know if I would trust tek screws to hold everything somewhat together. Guess its no different to having something loose in the cargo area tho just reckon if your going to do it may as well do it right for big items anyway. Did try and use existing captive nuts for tie down points and seats but just didn't quite line up well enough. . .

Hey guys. Dad got an old back seat from the wreckers and ripped the seat off the base and then bolted his slide to the base.

These Rivnuts are handy as a half way measure blokes. https://www.bunnings.com.au/kincrome...t-kit_p5910346
Also gives you a chance to prime/paint coat the steel hole edges before inserting/installing them from the top only needed. No doubt good bolts/nuts and big fender washers for the win though!
